Security Change

As a current partner/vendor of RIHousing, we want to make you aware of a security change to our SharePoint and OneDrive sites. Effective Thursday, September 15, 2022, this change requires multi-factor authentication for all external partner/vendor accounts.

This additional security measure greatly reduces the risk of potential compromise to our SharePoint and OneDrive document repositories and provides maximum protection to RIHousing resources and data.

As part of this process, you are required to provide a second means of authentication (multi-factor identification) to your existing credentials when you access any of our SharePoint and/or OneDrive sites.

You have the option of using any of the following as your second means of authentication:

• Phone (mobile call or text)
• Office phone
• Mobile app

If you have an upcoming Management and Occupancy Review, please make sure you have access to your SharePoint and are able to upload documents.

Effective September 15, 2022...

When you try to access our SharePoint and/or OneDrive sites, you will be prompted to provide more information.

You must provide a second means of authentication. This can be any of the following: Phone (mobile call or text), Office phone, or Mobile app. 

Delayed Rent Adjustments

Those with Annual Adjustments due in early 2022 may notice a delay from our office in initiating the process. We will begin our annual renewals once OCAFs (Operating Cost Adjustment Factors) are updated within HUD’s system. Because we start this process early, we expect to complete all annual reviews before their effective dates.

RentReliefRI Update

Please note that the RentReliefRI program will close at the end of September and all applications will be determined prior to or by September 30, 2022, when the program closes. Applicants who have an open case and have had additional information requested by their Case Manager and/or RentReliefRI staff must have all information and documentation entered into and uploaded to their online application prior to Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

Applicants who do not have their completed information and documentation uploaded to the application portal by this deadline will be denied due to non-responsiveness. Applicants who do not supply the necessary information and/or documentation by this deadline will not be eligible for an extension and/or an appeal.

We ask all applicants to check the status of their online applications as well as the spam and junk folders of their emails. It is imperative that applicants respond to any outreach or requests for additional information prior to Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

If applicants require assistance updating an application, they may reach out to their case manager or the RentReliefRI Call Center.
